Gas lift systems are highly dependent on good input data and build on the premise that the production environment stays constant. Since reservoir pressure, fluid composition and desired flow rates may change with time, a more flexible gas lift system is required. By using an electrically activated GLV, the necessary exchange of the valves is made redundant. Similar to inflow control valves, now the gas lift valves can be electrically adjusted and optimized based on the current conditions.
